Westery Seahawk (Fin) (1985)

Type Ed Dubois Designed, Masthead, Fin keel, solid, center cockpit boat from Westerly. "Pocket Blue water cruiser" Dimensions Loa 10.26m (33'7") Lwl 8.23m (27') Beam 3.74m ( 12'3") Draught 1.5m (4'11") Displacement 6387 Kgs  Ballast 2585 KG Cast Iron Fin keel,
Built Hand laid GRP to hull and superstructure with white gelcoats, Teak based interior, Very solid build techniques with strong Bulkhead bondings, and robust scantlings throughout. The boat had a full peel, and Osmosis treatment at Hayling Yacht company in 2019, at some cost!,(£8,000+) and should now be sound for very many more years. (5 Year warranty) Engines Yanmar 3 JHG  40hp three cylinder diesel  ( Fitted new with new gearbox etc in 1999), it drives a straight shaft through a "P" Bracket to a three bladed propeller. giving easy 6.5 knots cruise  and up to 7.5kts max. Fresh water cooled, there is a rope cutter fitted. Serviced last September 2019.
Tanks 35 Gallons Fuel in Stainless steel tank (replaced 2001) and fresh water of 65 gallons also in Stainless steel, Berths she will sleep 6/7 in three cabin areas, Twin/double forward, two/ three in saloon, and a double offset cabin aft.

History Bought by her current owners in 2002, (previous owners were sailing her to New Zealand, and mad a lot of upgrades and replacements at that time, ( new tanks, new sails, new engine etc.. but sadly the trip was never made and the boat was sold. The current owners have maitained her, and various bits have been improved like the smart teak faced shelf fronts in the saloon with sliding doors. new upholstery in 2007, refitted hatches etc.
Broker's Comments The Westerly Seahawk has a well deserved reputaion of solidity, and as a cruising boat for the south coast and adjacent French coast she is idea. Indeed they have travelled far and wide.
